I am all about this warm weather!  I love warm weather, the only time I like cooler weather is October-December, after  that I’m over it.  To go with this uplifting weather, I have another inspirational story for you all.  Today’s story comes from Ashley.  I met her in the gym a few years ago, and this chick works her butt off!  She is super strong in a tiny package, and she is someone I can completely geek out with talking about food.  So take a break, grab a sweet treat, go outside, and check out Ashley’s story 🙂

“I went through a time in my life where I had to give up, what I considered to be, my whole life at the time. I didn’t understand how much I didn’t focus on myself and who I wanted to be. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, it just happened. From that point on, I had a feeling that I could be SOMEONE. My goals and dreams were now the main focus in my life. The gym transformed my mindset. I realized that I wanted to be a strong (both physically and mentally) and courageous woman. God has always been the leader in my life and in my struggles. If He puts me in it, then He’ll pull me out of it.”

What is Ashley’s definition of what it means to have Sugar and Strength?

“My definition of sugar and strength is being able to understand God’s plan in your life. Sugar is something we crave to have. Although, it’s not something we should always have. Just like in life, sometimes we get strayed from our path and want that immediate gratification. We have to have the strength to say no and to understand that there is a reason for our current place in life.”
