Fresh New Look

Fresh New Look

I’m sure you have noticed there are a few updates on the blog now.  The old theme to my blog had a bug in it which caused all of my posts to have the word size of 48, which meant each post was about 8-12 pages long.  I tried for three days to fix the problem, however, since I’m not a HTML code genius, I decided it was a sign that the blog needed a fresh look, and it was time to add the new features that I have been putting off.

For a few months now, some of you (and my husband), have asked about savory recipes…especially the healthier ones that I sometimes post pictures of on my Facebook and Instagram accounts.  My response was always, “I’m a baker, I LOVE to bake, my blog is dedicated to a variety of sweets treats to go along with the posts, I can’t put savory items on here”.  Three weeks ago we (my husband, one of our coaches, and myself) put on a nutrition seminar for our members at our Crossfit box— HIT Crossfit  .  Afterward, I had several people ask about meal prep, healthy recipes, balance between indulging versus staying on track, and how to eat healthy on a busy schedule.  Fast forward three weeks to now, I bit the bullet, and decided to start including my savory experiments.  I say experiments, because I’ll probably include some blooper posts when something doesn’t turn out the way I initially planned.

In order for something to grow, we have to be open to change, and that’s what I’m doing with Sugar & Strength.

Does this mean I’m going to get back on track to posting on a weekly basis?  I’m going to try my best, however, with working full time and managing a Crossfit box, my schedule tends to ebb and flow on a weekly basis.  With all of that being said, I would like some feedback in the future: what are some things you would like to see more of, less of, etc.  I would love to hear from you.

I hope you all have a great weekend, that you like Sugar and Strength’s new look, and prayers that the hurricane takes a turn away from us.
