Feature Friday Story With Renae M.
Happy Friday! So it’s been awhile since I’ve shared a “Feature Friday” story. I wanted to share a little inspiration to kick off everyone’s weekend. This week’s feature comes from my dear friend Renae. This girl is stronger than she will every know, and to watch her grow in her self confidence over the past couple of years has been amazing to see.
To go along with her inspirational story, I have a new healthy sweet treat to share with you all: Blueberry Mug Cake. This quick and easy treat can be really good for breakfast, or just when you need something sweet that won’t break the caloric spectrum.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.
A few years ago, this truth and hope from the Lord is one that I have recited to myself and held onto through so many ups and downs. After going through infertility treatments, multiple miscarriages and then a divorce can lead to feeling like a failure. Through all the mess I was left feeling broken and damaged. Everything I had dreamed and prayed for was lost. But if I know one thing to be true, it is that God is faithful. Even though I might never understand why all this happened, I can trust that God has a plan. He has taught me that I am beautiful, valuable and strong, and the blessing that is to come will be good because He will take care of me. He is not finished with my story yet.
What is Renae’s definition of Sugar & Strength?
Strength is knowing that I need to let go of my control and allow God to take control. His plan for me is so much bigger and better than the plan that I could ever create or hold on to. Sugar is the blessing we see pouring down from trusting Him.
